The Print:
Currently, we charge anywhere between $18.00 and $20.00 per square foot for each print (inked image only). We round to the nearest inch. This is based on each artist’s unique needs for specific ink, paper/media, and print resolution. Extra white space (outside a default of 2”) is charged at $3.00 per square foot.
The Labor:
All labor (including dust-busting and consultation) is charged at $60.00 per hour. That said, if you are working with us in-lab and there is some down-time to rest our eyes, we will not charge for that time.
The Home Studio Consultation:
We charge $45.00 per hour of travel time to get to your studio. Then we charge normal labor price of $60.00 per hour for each consultation.
Note: If you are a Vermont business and you are not the end-user of our product, remember to give us your retail number so we won’t add sales tax to your invoice. You will need to give us copies of all relevant documents before we invoice you.
We invoice after work is completed on a project. Of course, if a project involves hundreds of large prints, we will invoice for each week of work. If the project requires very expensive paper that we don’t have a use for other than the one job, we will charge up-front for the cost of the material if we are buying it.
We have a maximum turnaround time of ten days from receiving any original that needs to be scanned to the first full-size print. If we are given a visualized digital file to print, our maximum turnaround time is seven days. That said, we often turn around prints in around forty-eight hours or less. Rush jobs are possible and we’ve been known to even run prints in less than 24 hours for artists needing to hang work the next day! However, a significant increase in price does apply in these situations. The price increase is based on what time the rush job comes in, what day of the seven day week it is, and where the artist is located in relation to Black Point Editions Vermont.
